An attractive addition to herb gardens as well as ornamental borders, this perennial herb has woolly grayish leaves that lend an earthy freshness to meat and poultry cuisines. Spikes of bluish purple flowers appear in mid summer. No herb garden is complete without this versatile plant.


Harvesting: Pinch a leaf at a time or cut an entire stem.  Use fresh or dry by hanging bunches of stems upside down.  When dry, strip the leaves from the stem and store in a cool dry airtight container.
