Provence Purple Fragrant Lavender
Lavandula x intermedia 'Provence

Price: $24.99

Availability: IN STOCK

Most commonly found in aromatic sachets and potpourris, the leaves and summer flowers of this tall, semi-woody Lavender are intensely fragrant.  Originating from the Provence area of France and Italy, this plant has a mounding shrubby habit and thrives in drier, well drained soils.  A versatile perennial with a wide variety of garden uses:  as a non-culinary herb, for foliage contrast, a low hedge, in the rock or cutting gardens, or for a scented accent.  Its grayish green leaves are evergreen in warm winter regions; in cold climates, especially those with limited snow cover, it may be difficult to overwinter.

Harvesting:  Both foliage and flowers are aromatic.  Just cut and dry as needed.  Be sure to trim just the tender new growth, not the woody stems themselves.
