Feather Reed Grass
Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Karl Foerster

Price: $32.99

Availability: IN STOCK

Recipient of the 2001 Perennial Plant of the Year award, this slowly spreading, clumping, ornamental grass is prized for its ability to grow in heavy clay soils, vertical lines, and early blooms.  Erect habit with skinny, narrow, green leaf blades.  In early summer, feathery plumes rise above the foliage, purplish when emerging, then turning golden, and changing to tan as the season progresses.  Perfect choice for a vertical accent, low lying moist spots, near ponds, in groups, and in narrow spaces.
