Fresh Herb, Lemon Thyme
Thymus citriodorus

Price: $12.49

Availability: IN STOCK

While it looks like English thyme, Lemon Thyme with tiny, aromatic leaves that smell and taste like lemons!  Very popular for its flavor and because it can be used as a lemon replacer in recipes and marinades. Easy to grow in sun to part shade, the herb is quite vigorous and enjoys frequent trimming to keep the plant compact or easily prune into a tiny hedge, such as those used in traditional knot gardens.

Harvesting:  Pick leaves any time in the growing season.  Snip individually or snip leafy stems to the length desired.  Fresh clippings will keep for a week at room temperature if set in a few inches of water.  Or, keep in the refrigerator for 7-10 days by wrapping dry, unwashed stems in a damp paper towel and placing in a tightly closed zip lock bag.  For long-term storage, dry leaves and store in a dry cool cabinet.
