Fresh Herb, Super Blue English Lavender
Lavandula angustifolia 'Super Blue

Price: $12.49

Availability: IN STOCK

Plant Patent #24929.  A shorter growing version of the extremely popular 'Munstead, this cold hardy Lavender sports grey green foliage and intensely fragrant deep blue flower spikes all summer long. Showy, aromatic blooms can be used fresh in cut bouquets or dried in sachets & potpourri.   Cut spent blooms to encourage additional flowering.  A hardy variety that tolerates heat and humidity.  Grow in a sunny site as a low hedge, in the perennial garden, near the house foundation, or in mixed patio pots.  To avoid root rot, soil MUST be well draining; consider planting in a raised bed or rock garden. Deters deer and bunnies; repels mosquitoes.

Harvesting:  Both foliage and flowers are aromatic.  Just cut and dry as needed.  Be sure to trim just the tender new growth; not the woody stems themselves.
