An attractive hardy perennial with elegant texture, soft color, long bloom period, and easy care reliability. Flowers from spring to fall with clusters of delicate star shaped lavender purple blooms that rise above neat clumps of slender arching grasslike foliage, creating a light airy look that works beautifully for edgings, borders, mass plantings, containers, anywhere a low maintenance plant is desired. When crushed, the leaves release a mild garlic scent, helping to repel deer, rabbits, moles and other pests. Butterflies and other pollinators are drawn to the nectar rich blooms, while gardeners appreciate its dependable performance and nearly continuous flowering season. Thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers well drained soil. Use as an accent plant or mass for a dramatic effect in borders, containers, rock gardens, and pollinator habitats.
