Fern Asparagus Foxtail Fern Plant in 10 in. (3 Gal.) Grower Pot
The feathery light green super soft needle like leaves of this tropical fern resemble Fox Tails or even Pony Tails with their thick hair-like stiffly upright branches. A truly unique plant that provides textural contrast to the garden, often placed as a whimsical feature to a patio pot, a hanging basket, within in the border garden, or simply behind a flowering ground cover. Develops red non edible ornamental berries in autumn, without the highly invasive tendencies of traditional asparagus fern. Grows in full sun or partial shade in well drained soil, with a mature size of 2-3 ft. tall by 3-4 ft. W. Hardy only in the warmer climates of USDA Plant Zones 9-11, in all other areas the plant can be grown as an annual and replaced each year, or grow as a houseplant where it is protected from temperatures below 65 deg F.
