A charming native Florida plant, the Firebush or aka Scarlet Bush sports eye catching tubular orange red flowers and almost year round blooming from early Spring to late fall. Butterflies and hummingbirds enjoy the nectar in the flowers while birds feast on the continual crop of black berries. A fast growing multi stemmed shrub with large soft stems and evergreen leaves that can be tinged red when young, gradually turning green and then often to bright red before Winter season. Its large size is ideal for a foundation plant near large buildings, in the backdrop of a border planting, in mass plantings or as a fast growing screen or privacy border. Grows best in full or partial Sunlight and regular moisture in the form of irrigation or rainfall.
